Under Article 10 of Federal Decree-Law No. 34 of 2022, a non-national lawyer needs at least 15 years’ practice, must practise as a partner of a licensed foreign law firm, and may appear only before designated specialised circuits, excluding criminal, administrative, family and Muslim personal status cases. Emirates with local courts, the DIFC and ADGM may differ.
